Summer break is here and I have been finishing some parts of the project. The front motor reinforcement and push bumper/towbar attachment is now welded and bolted in place. The transmission cooler with the remote filter has been installed and the hoses connected.

The new support greatly reinforces the strength of the uniframe cross member and provides a place to attach other equipment like the air conditioner condenser and the cooling fan I have chosen.

The car looks really nice now with the grille re-installed and the new 2" square tube receivers below the bumper! "Sick" as the chopper guys might describe it.

I like to think that about any type of attachment imaginable could be utilized. The first of these is a U-haul towbar I am cutting and redesigning so I can move the car around town as necessary.

With some luck and a trip to Wentzville later this week I will have some parts machined. I am hopeful that the motor will be installed shortly.

Plans call for using a fork lift controller and 3 or 4 batteries until I can get the Zilla Controller from evsource.com . This will allow me to get the car in and out of the garage and drive it around the court by my house for testing out systems.

I am glad that when I started the project I decided to do things right and be patient. As the first year anniversary of the project approaches I can reflect on a lot of great things that have been done to move it along. A lot of help from a lot of good people has been essential. Saabrina will be a great EV someday soon!
