A leap ahead...
The motor adapter plate is now complete and awaiting the connecting hub. Everything appears to line up but the real test will come when the motor is actually installed. Hopefully that will be very soon.
Special thanks to Mike Klos at American Manufacturing for the excellent mill work!
Saabrina looks veeerrry good. We share an interest in advacing SAAB into the sustainable future as well as the Advanced DC motor and some other components I'm sure. I'm the guy with the electric 1968 96 "Sparky", winner of the 1997 American Tour de Sol for lead/acid batteries. How's your clutch? The tourque of the electric motors tear them up. I'm on my 3rd , and use it as a failsafe to preserve the tranny. I'd like to disuss this with you.
I'm looking forward to a new set of Trojan T-125's in the early Spring and being back on the road after a 4 year rest.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year to you and Saabrina.
I retired after 25 years as a technology educator in 2008. I have extensive background in electronics and have also taught engineering at a local college. I am currently Manager of IT at Brasch Mfg. in Maryland Hgts., MO.
